When 8 year old Trevor was diagnosed with aggressive cancer, Brian and Patti endured 14 months of hospital visits, treatments, and endless uncertainty. Their journey exposed deep flaws in healthcare - departments that didn't talk to each other, repeated forms, preventable mistakes.
They survived. But they left with a hard lesson: When it matters most, you need solutions that actually work, not marketing that sounds good.
That realization didn't lead to Cannovia overnight. It led Brian to create vitaTrackr—a system to give patients control of their medical records. But the mission to help others was just beginning.
Built by Someone Who Knows What It's Like
Brian testified before Congress. He partnered with Duke University Medical Center. And through that work, he met Dr. Pat Hezmall, a urologist and co-founder of one of the largest urology practices in the country. Pat had been hearing about natural relief through hemp from Colorado farming communities—real stories, real results.
The two saw an opportunity and combined Brian's mission to simplify health with a plant-based solution that actually worked. Within months, 10 physicians invested their own money in Cannovia. Not because it was trendy, but because they believed it could help people in ways traditional options couldn't.
